Columbus day.

Trump's ridiculous statement about Columbus is, to me, further evidence for my view that the U.S. government should continue worshiping Columbus Day, as the state's devotion to an ignorant, genocidal sociopath is far more in keeping with the history of that institution than would be the shameful "celebration" of the people it cleansed, oppressed, and murdered.

Does anyone envision Donald Trump and the regime he presides over as an appropriate commemorator of those who were forced from this nation? Next you're going to tell me the FBI is celebrating MLK Day.

Individuals should celebrate Indigenous People's Day. The government should be condemned to continue worshiping its evil exemplar.

There is an obvious double standard, no denying that. Like people are all of a sudden offended by statues. They're not offended by past Sen. Robert Byrd's name all over and statues of him. He was a KKK member and recruiter. Even the founder of Planned Parenthood. They found her writings.
