After just one simple keyword search, I was able to catch all of the recent use of the word "grifter" on Twitter. Now tell me, how often have you used the word grifter to describe anybody in the past 18 years of your life? Well, the mainstream media has pulled this word out of retirement and have inserted it into the public consciousness. This is a useful and common tactic, related to the subliminal advertising campaigns that the media have continuously deployed since the days of Edward Bernays, the father of subliminal messaging.
