Hard Truth

This is the truth that everyone needs to know. When I saw this picture I had a smile on my face. This is what the suicide bombers need to hear. They are locked up in the lies that they are being told by people who call themselves religious leaders. Religion has become the pinion that has tied many people down. Many ills have been committed in the name of religion. The rate of violence and killings in the name of religion is alarmingly high. I will never forget the year 2011 in April immediately after the general election. I was in Zaria and i am thankful that i am alive to share the experience. The Monday following the election dawned with so much intense hate; the post election soon became a religious crisis that claimed over 140 lives in the Northern part of Nigeria. In Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic where i was starting in one of the students BQ at that time, the death rate was about seven including a chemistry lecturer. We were hid in a lodge occupied by Muslim brothers after they had set the other lodge on fire and wanting to set the one we were hiding inside on fire. Thankfully, we made it through that thick darkness and thank God that there are clerics coming out to oppose the hate that most clerics preach in the name of religion.

Religion is really a pinion!
