Trybe token circulating supply, September 2018

Trybe did its first airdrop to EOS accounts yesterday. Only accounts that airgrabbed to participate in the airdrop received the tokens. After the airdrop, Trybe had a noticeable increase in volume. Trybe’s biggest market so far is NewDEX (https://newdex.io/trade/TRYBE_EOS). NewDEX’s introduction section of Trybe market states, that Trybe has a circulating supply of 1,000,000.

I don’t quite agree with that. That’s where I got the idea to write an article about Trybe’s current circulating supply. Trybe’s initial supply is 1 billion tokens with no cap on total supply because it will be a inflationary token. But only a small portion of that supply is currently trading on the market.

Now, let’s start the calculation. Trybe airdroped around 2.2 million tokens in its first airdrop to EOS account holders who airgrabbed. The airdrop was distributed from the EOS account trybeairdrop.

Trybe allocated 50 million tokens for the airdrop to this account. 2206992.4757 TRYBE tokens have been airdropped and 47,793,007.5243 TRYBE tokens remain in the airdrop account. You can check it out here: https://bloks.io/account/trybeairdrop

Trybe founders account trybefounder sent 13 million tokens to team members. Though these tokens have been distributed, the team members are not allowed to sell them whenever they want. I spoke with one Trybe official who stated that they are in a 1.5 year agreement for holding the tokens.

There is another account of team members which has less than 500k tokens distributed most likely as salary for contracted workers. So, in total, around 2.7 million TRYBE tokens are now in circulation. I hope NewDEX will update their website soon with the latest information.
