What do I think of the prospects for Turkey?
I think the prospects for an independent Turkey are very good indeed. There are many industries an independent Turkey could develop which a western aligned Turkey could not.
Those industries & opportunities include but are not limited to:
Multi-Currency Wallet & Payment Products
Anonymous & Secure (non-western) VPN Services
Real Estate (if Turkey follows Georgia's example on tourist visas)
Residency options (a new concept promulgated by the EIG)
Non-intrusive software (we're all weary of western software nowadays)
Online marketplaces (for sale of physical goods globally)
Online marketplaces (for sale of freelance & services, very important!)
In summary, these are the areas where I see opportunity for industry development in an independently minded jurisdiction like Turkey (or the Philippines for that matter).
Very important are the online marketplaces for freelance services because they will allow the local labour force to expand the market for their expertise beyond Turkey's immediate borders.

So a country where free press gets censored and VPNs actively get blocked is a good place for Anonymous VPNs and Non-Intrusive software? Yeah that makes a lot of sense.
Sure, if the services are reserved for exclusive for external clients, why not?

A country with good privacy laws, that isnt in the 12 eyes, that doesnt care about the US or the UK knocking on their door, Panama for all I care. Obviously not the only one but you get the point
Interesting, could be an opportunity. Btw I can't say that VPNs r blocking in Turkey. And free press? Is there any on the world?
