TV Show Review #1- The Last Man on Earth

The Last Man on Earth is a show about a man (Phil Tandy Miller) who survived a virus that wiped out all of humanity and is living alone in Tucson, Arizona 2 years later. Although virus epidemic movies/tv shows tend to take a serious tone, The Last Man on Earth is far from that and is a Comedy. Phil lives his post-apocalytpic life like how many of us would, drinking alcohol, eating junk food and taking whatever he wants from stores or people's houses. His world changes fast when he starts meeting other survivors.

Personalities clash as you see another side of Phil Miller open up. In the first season you go through a roller coaster of emotions with the main character. You love him, then you hate him, then you feel sorry for him then you cringe as you see the awkwardness in what he does.

Without revealing too much more, I think this a great tv show, fun for watching alone but even better for watching with a significant other, friend or family members. The first 3 seasons are available on Netflix, and the 4th season can be seen on Fox. Each episode is 20 minutes long, so its a great way to binge watch entire seasons, or hammer out an episode at a time as a break.

Overall I would rate this show 8/10 with season 1 being the best (9/10).

Pros:

• Actually pretty funny (awkward, dumb humor)
• 20 minute episodes (good for taking a rewarding break)
• Great to watch with other people
• Season 1 is amazing
• The characters are all unique and relatable in their own way and add depth to each episode

Cons:

• Seasons beyond the first could not top the first season (although season 3 and 4 were still good)
• Plot development feels stagnant in season 2
