TV Series to Look Forward To In 2019

With the traditional winter hiatus almost over, tv series will soon be getting back on air, and new seasons of some of our old shows will be beginning or dropping, depending on the network. Let's take a look at my most anticipated releases for the year.

1. Game of Thrones S8

Now who isn't looking forward to this?? The final season of the massive hit will be beginning in March, focusing on the three side war between the Night King, The Dragon and the wolf, and the lioness at King's Landing.
The season, which has almost completed filming, is going to have 7 extra-length episodes. And given the series' history of twists and character deaths, it's impossible to know who might survive and what the end of the story will be.

2. Agents of Shield S6

After a break of over a year, our favorite agents will return in July in what promises to be a whole new series. At least, that's what I think. With Coulson and May gone, the series will never be the same again.
But, is Coulson gone, really? And what would be the effect of the snap/restoration on the series? Truth is, we'll never know.
What I do know is, Disney pushed a lot for this series to get to this season, and then it got renewed for season 7 even before 6 had aired, so I'm definitely expecting a helluva lot.

3. Jessica Jones S3

Not much is known about this one yet, although filming has been underway since June. Given what has been going on with Netflix and Marvel though, it's likely going to be the final season for the superstrong private investigator.
There are so many character arcs to tie up, especially with Jessica, Malcolm and Trish. And speaking of Trish, since she's gotten superpowers, we'll mst likely get to finally see Hellcat on screen. Hell, yeah!

4. The Punisher S2

Set to drop in less than a week's time, The Punisher S2 will be finally turning Frank Castle into the Punisher proper, giving him his status and persona from the comics. In this season, Frank will have to deal once again with his former friend and current nemesis Billy, who he'd taken down in Season 1.

5. Stranger Things S3

Heaven knows we have waited for this! But honestly, I can't imagine what the new season will be about. According to the showrunners, it will continue to deal with that other dimension, but perhaps, it will be more about Eleven and her past. We've gotten an episode list, but no release date yet.

6. The 100 S6

After the shocking end of Season 5, the humans will be landing on a brand new planet this season... A chance to start afresh. But will they? There's so much bad blood in the group! And what fresh horrors will they face?
