A Plea for your TV suggestions
We’re having a hard time finding a show to watch.
The two of us are not devoted to our television, we don’t even turn it on most days. But at the end of a long, tiring day, it’s nice to relax with a good show. We’re the kind of people who prefer to watch one show with already released episodes over a number of evenings, rather than watch a few shows on a rotating basis at a time.
Our favorite shows are on delayed production, with no air date in sight until next year. These are Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, and Stranger Things. All of which are undeniably perfect shows. We also really enjoyed season one of True Detective, but like many, could never really get in to season 2.
In the past few weeks we’ve tried a couple Netflix shows, like Travelers and Frontier, neither of which seems thoughtfully written, although both have interesting plot lines with the potential to be good. But we were disappointed.
It seems like there is no shortage of TV shows these days, even many with an interesting premises. However after the initial viewing, we’re typically left bored or even embarrassed for the writers.
Are we unreasonably picky or it their a dearth of quality in all this quantity? Is there a show that has escaped us on our Netflix feed or elsewhere? Do you have any suggestions for what we should try next?

Blue mountain state was my favourite show on netflix but not for everybody. I did watch the last kingdom lately and really enjoyed it.

Money heist on Netflix. It is a great one. Written in spanish and rewritten over in english but you can handle the subtle differences. Watch it, it was great. Kinda like Prison Break and White Collar like.
Our taste in shows seems to be very similar. My favorites are Ozark, Sons of Anarchy (only available until Dec 1 so binge this one ASAP), making a murderer, Narcos (the original, we haven’t gotten that into Narcos Mexico version), Black Mirror, Dexter, Jessica Jones, The Walking Dead (not caught up on the most recent seasons), Weeds, Glow, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
