Tykn - A Brief Review About The Project (video embedded)
Tykn is a decentralized project that aims to deal with the real world crises, particularly the refugees. Tykn was founded by a prominent individual known as Toufic AL Rjula, who resides in Kuwait. Toufic lost all his birth certificate in the first gulf war in his country (Kuwait). It was at this time he came up with the idea of Tykn, a project that aims to be the "future of resilient identity" that'll ultimately change the burdensome situation these refugees experiences.
According to its website Tykn aims to “leverage distributed ledger technology to build electronic identity, authentication and trust services (eIDAS) tools for governments and NGOs, ensuring full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), imposed on May 25, 2018.” One of the key projects by the company is an initiative by the name of “ZINC” (Project Zero INvisible Children<), which “aims to permanently certify the identity of children in conflict zones by leveraging blockchain technology.”
