I decided to share with you the technology of making pinyata with my own hands. Pinyata will decorate any holiday and will please your children, and also it can become an original gift to someone.

For a simple pinyata we will need:

  • inflated balloon;

  • water;

  • flour;

  • paper or newspaper;

  • decorations for pinyata;

  • Filling (candy, tinsel, confetti, small gifts, etc.).

It is best to use for pinyata the paper that is sold along with the shoes. It is thin and without a pattern. But you can do whatever you find. Paper is cut into strips of any length and width of about 3 cm. The inflated ball must be tied with a long thread, then it is convenient to dry the pinyata by hanging it not with this thread.

We put inflated ball on some basis (jar or pan). We glue on the ball the first layer of paper. Strip the crosswise, so it is more convenient. The part with the tied off tip is not sealed. Attention! The first layer we glue with simple water - we dip the strips of paper into the water and overlay the ball. If you make this layer with a paste, it will stick to the ball.

Leave the layer to dry completely. Do not be scared if the dried paper is uneven.

All other layers of the pinyata we will glue with the help of a paste. There are many recipes of the latter, I used my grandmother's recipe: 1/4 cup of wheat flour mixed with 1 water. In the meantime, pour 5 glasses of water into a saucepan and set it on fire to boil. When the flour mixes well with water, pour this flour mixture into a saucepan with water and cook over low heat, stirring, for 3 minutes. The finished paste should be completely cooled.

Strips of paper are dipped into the paste and glue in the same way as the layer with water. The part with the tip of the ball is also not glued. All layers with a paste need 4-5. Each layer should dry well. If the paper is thin, then you can immediately apply 2 layers. Over time, the paste loses its sticky properties, with a maximum of 2 days. So it is better after 2 days to prepare a new portion of the paste.

When our pinyata dried, cut off the tip of the ball, letting out the air, and pull out the ball.

You can leave the pinyata and so, and you can decorate its bottom. For this, I bought ribbons, which are bandaged bouquets in flower shops. Several tapes need to be folded together and secure their end with tape, forming a tube. In the bottom of the pinyata , make a hole with an awl or thin scissors and stuff the ribbons into it. We fix the hole with small squares of paper. Paper can be spread with the remaining paste or simply glue PVA.

Through the upper opening, where the tip of the ball was sticking out earlier, we fill the pinyata with stuffing. At us it is gold chocolate coins. Pinyata was made for the birthday of my daughter Ulyana, so the treats are the same, so that there are no offenses among the invited children. And also there is no tinsel and confetti, tk. the children's center asked you not to litter :) You can also put pinyaty inside small gifts - hair clips, bracelets, stickers, cars, notes with wishes, etc. After the filling is covered, we make holes in the walls of the pinyata and thread the ribbon several times in them for the fortress. On this tape there will be a pinyata. Next, we tape tapes and holes with paper squares, greased with PVA glue.

Then comes the most creative part of the work - the decoration of the pinyata. For example, you can simply paint it with the main color and then paste the images of the characters or paint it or write something.

Nice one for the kids and also doesn't require heavy cost materials.
I am sure kids will love this.

Very cool! I never made one for the kids when they were little. Just never thought of it...awesome idea for our two grand-daughters who both have birthdays coming up soon, though! Thanks.
