RE: Fastest knockout ever in UFC just happened a few days ago

in #ufc5 years ago

People that fight know virtually anyone can knock out the average person with the right blow, luck, or bad posture on account of the person getting struck. This is why so many suckerpunches result in knockouts.

Granted, these are the guys willingly going into these fights and are probably tougher than the average guy. The rule still applies though, amongst these men, the right blow, luck, and bad posture mean quick knockout is on the table despite whatever the matchup seems to be.

What we saw here might be a solid case of the right blow mixed with bad posture.

The best trained man can go down with a well placed blow, especially if hes not prepared to take it. Ultimately, on the street, this is why you shouldnt tempt fate. Only fight when necessary, do not go around trying to be a tough guy or picking fights. Your life, your family, your home are worth it, impressing acquaintances at the bar is not.

i agree with everything you wrote there and it is absolutely correct. Sometimes, we attribute someone (in fighting sports) as being a great fighter, when it may have had a lot to do with luck and "one unblocked blow"

Dude was leaning INTO that knee and wasn't even looking at his opponent and he blindly charged. Horrible tactic that I hope he doesn't do again. Personally, i would like to see this fight hyped and made into a rematch.
