Uganda's future in digital currency

in #uganda6 years ago

Uganda's digital currency sector is still young and in its infancy, and i bet or close to 90%(this is a subjective percentage) of the population have no idea what cryptocurrency really means .However a young generation of IT gurus and university students are making their mark on the digital money stage. They believe in the power of cryptocurrency even if the Government and majority of the population thinks its a "myth". This is further justified by the directive issued by the Bank of Uganda Published by the New Vision Uganda's biggest newspaper where it warned the general public against saving in cryptocurrency such as bitcoin, ripple, peer coin, name coin, lite coin, byte coin and many others it warned that they risked financial loss. However despite all the push backs and hurdles the very few who have seen and experienced the benefits that cryptocurrency has over fiat money are not deterred. It is now upon the few to convince the government that digital money is beneficial to Uganda's economy and technological growth.
