David Cameron strikes a moderate position on the Gaza war

David Cameron has done an interview with James Landale, which went as follows:

James Landale, "When will Britain say to Israel that enough is enough. Either you defend yourself differently or its time for a ceasefire"

David Cameron, "They must abide by international humanitarian law. The number of casualties are too high.. Not just in Gaza but also the West Bank with settler violence where people are targeting and in some cases killing Palestinian civilians, it is completely unacceptable. And those people responsible for that, its not good enough to just arrest them. They need to be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned. These are crimes"

Most Brits wil think that is a fair position.

It also means the Tory govt is more moderate than Starmer who advocated water and food be withheld from civilians even though that is a war crime (indeed Nazis got executed at Nuremburg for doing this to civilians in countries they occupied).
