ULOG # 3: My Tour on The National Museum of Anthropology

in #ulog6 years ago

There's a lot of first time for everything and I admit that at my age, this is the first time that I entered and visited the National Museum of Anthropology. AND I'M SO EXCITED!!!
I'm Genesis and welcome to my third ULOG!

Take a tour with me at the National Museum of Anthropology.

National Museum is located at Rizal Rizal Park, Manila and is formerly known as the Museum of Filipino People. It houses the anthropology, ancient artifacts and some of the parts of San Diego. Source

Look at that BIG SWORD.
It's really a broadsword and I did not know it really exists!
I thought I could just see things like this in animes and RPGs.

Of all the sections in the National Museum of Anthropology, my favorite is the Baybayin room

Baybayin is the Original and Traditional way of writing of the ancient Filipinos. There are many evidences and artifacts that show the Baybayin especially in their instruments and household furnitures and tools.
More and more Filipino are using Baybayin on their arts , calligraphy and even tattoos. There are also Filipinos who want to restore Baybayin as the National way of writing. Some of them have developed modern way to write Baybayin which are easy to learn. On August 26, I will teach Baybayin in one of the Creative Street's Workshop at the Orchidarium, Rizal Park in partnership with National Parks Development Commitee

I also love the Weaving tools and devices used in making clothes and blankets. They were also used to make large scales scarfs and curtains. Yep, ALL WOVEN

And there are various styles, designs and colors.
IT'S SO AMAZING

Almost all of the traditional clothes / costume are hand woven.
It's so elegant to see. Oh I wish i could witness Filipinos wearing these in large groups. In a normal occasion. Maybe I should try to visit some of our tribes. I really admire their culture and arts.

And look at these creative tools we had!
From Farming tools, to musical Instruments
From War and Peace Weapon to Ornaments
From Stories to Songs
ALL ARE SO ARTISTIC

There are more to explore in the past and it's really enjoying to visit Museums and Gallery.
Thanks to those people who preserved and maintain the history through artifacts and writings.
Sending all the love !!!
