ULOG 019: FORK FEEDS ASSIGNMENT: SHORTAGES OF POWER OUTAGES.
Hi all! So yesterday my Communication lecturer gave us an assignment. He told us to write a composition, about whatever topic we choose, as long as it's at least 200 words. And that, plus the fork and the complications that rose from it yesterday, inspired me to write this. Hope you enjoy.
SHORTAGES OF POWER OUTAGES.
In this modern World we live in, I doubt there are many instances as universally frustrating as power outages. As vain as that sounds, it's true. For most it's like the sky starts falling, they get hysteric as they keep checking if their phones will finally charge. I may or may not be one of them.

You have to hand it to technology and advancement though, through tapping into various resources such as, solar power and thermal energy, power outages are becoming less and less frequent, than what feels like eons ago.
Yes, we have come far from when the power would disappear during of most of the night, a few times a week.
It was normal back then but, it was still torture for us youngins, who preferred spending that time watching kung fu movies, or cartoons. Still, when push came to shove, creativity always came through.
SHENANIGANS:
E.g: We loved the movie "THE LION KING," and it had become one of our go to games, when the lights were on strike. Here's a quick recap and the gameplay:
First off, Light many candles to set the mood, and minimize the risks of breaking things. The dining table was the Lion cave, the carpets were the savannas, and the cupboard was where the final battle happened. We were geniuses. Reckless geniuses who'd occasionally break things and soon after, get the deserved punishment.
BONDS
Those outages didn't just empower recklessness though, they also helped drastically increase engagement between us and our parents. More interactive stories were told, secrets were shared and spirits were all around enlightened. So it wasn't all bad.
So what am I saying here? Should we fight for more power outages? Hell no!! That should stay in the past. I'm just saying, we should appreciate the opportunities they present. Opportunities such as, being able to hear your own thoughts, or socializing while meditating the future. Things we should all strive for regardless of availability of current, but likey won't.
