#Ulog Day 3: "Palengke" Day

Happy New Week all.

On an early Monday morning, yours truly got up before the sun woke up. I started heating water for my favorite beverage- coffee, had a few minutes of meditation and heart-to heart conversation to God, watched news, prepared my daughter for school until I had to pick her up.

After all my early morning routine, I went straight to market (Palengke in Tagalog) to buy some vegetables and fruits. Our market days here in San Juan, La Union PH are Mondays and Fridays. These are also my busiest days as a mother. At the market, people really flocked from all over the town to get the fresh and newly delivered veggies from the farmland.

So anyway, here are a couple more photos that I took.

Squash (I bough a slice), chilis or sili (I bought 10peso-worth, that's around 19cents in US dollar), kangkong, katuray, okra, eggplant, siling-haba (long green chilis), ampalaya (bittergourd or bittermelon), saluyot and chili leaves.

Some more fruits (lemons, melons (cantaloupes) and some sweet potatoes.

I also stumbled at Surplus station (ukay-ukay) and saw some swimsuits and underwears lol. These are brand new by the way. And yeah, I didn't buy any of those.

And that's it. Maybe the next Palengke Day, we will bump some of you there. How cool would that be? Hehe. Anyway, have fun going to the market as well. I am home now Steeming and after that, I'm ready to go cook for lunch. Have a pleasant day to y'all. One love.~bloghound~
