Rape is still rape; let us speak for Noura.

Every human in existence has the right to sleep with whomever he or she chooses to. When a person is forced to have sex, it's called rape. It is and should be considered a crime that it is.

Forceful sex inflicts pain, and every individual would normally defend his- or herself. The idea of rape is something that nobody should even convince. To then move beyond the thoughts and get into the actual act is just not right. Any rapist is a criminal and should be treated like one.

Noura Hussein is a 19 year old who is about to die because she defended herself against a man who had severally forcefully raped her. This is pathetic. Should we just allow her go like that without a proper probe of what really happened? Are we not supposed to check if there was really intent before concluding?

Noura Hussein was forced to marry a man as a teenager. She was raped by the same man more than once. According to the facts that have been made available, Noura was first raped at 17 by her husband who invited some of his friends to hold her down, imagine how painful that could have been for her. The last time it happened, she killed her husband when trying to defend herself.

You may argue that he is her husband and has the right to her body, but you would find out how wrong you are when you understand what is really involved in sex. Sex is supposed to be enjoyed and not endured. I am of the opinion that every young person once in a while dreams of enjoyable sex even before his/her first experience. Noura’s was a rape that involved several men holding her down. She endured several episodes of the same painful experience but for how long? Like every living person, defending herself is the sane thing to do. Her defense might have led to the death of her husband but the question remains; did she do it intentional?

I personally believe that the whole facts have not been released which is why i want to use this avenue to call upon individuals, governments, human right activists and the United Nations to rise up for Noura Hussein. Let the Sudan nation probe the situation properly. It would be improper and absolutely wrong to decide on this case hastily as this could lead to the death of an innocent person.
