RE: ULOG #011 : Dauin Beach, a diving destination in Negros Oriental, Philippines

Considering this is a PADI diving centre it sounds very unspoiled and not touristy @immarojas. There aren't too many places like that left 😊.

While you were there did you go hiking and chasing waterfalls?

Sort:

the local government will not allow the place to be that commercialised. Even along the shore, the public cant go at night as there are no street lights. Unless you're staying at the resort, the whole beach is yours.
We went to a woodland outside Dauin where one man planted endangered trees and plants.

that's great to have a forward thinking local government @immarojas. I suppose they have the benefit of seeing what has happened in other places. I'm glad that I did I lot of my travelling when many of the places I visited weren't over run with tourists. 😁

Too many tourists can be the issue but it's mostly what people do to a place, tourists and locals alike. An untouched place is still possible in this time and age i think. The reason i love Wales and Malvern...and am sure a lot of places are still the same or trying to.

Yeah. One of the things I love about Wales @immarojas is you can still visit burial cairns and such like, that are thousands of years old, and be the only people there. It's the same in many places in Scotland, perhaps even more so. 😊

I've only been to Perth for camping and a bit further but am sure it is. Ive seen shows of Skye that i love too😍😍 Darthmour have u been?

I've not hear of Darthmour @immarojas. Where is that? 😍

Down south..dunno which part. Dartmoor perhaps???

I wondered if you meant Dartmoor?

I have been there but it's not one of my favourite places. It can be quite bleak. I much prefer parts of Wales or Scotland. 😊
