Bad luck befell two female visitors who want to visit inmates at the Class IA Kedungpane Penitentiary (Lapas) in Ngaliyan-Boja Highway, Ngaliyan District, Semarang City, Monday (09/24/2018) yesterday.
Two women with the initials ARM and SKY were arrested for being caught carrying marijuana wrapped in paper when they were about to enter.
The findings were conveyed by the Head of the Kedungpane Prison Dadi Mulyadi.
Based on the inspection procedure, every visitor who wants to visit must be checked.
The two women were also examined when they were about to visit the visiting service officer named Sunarti.
Unexpectedly, after the two were examined and their bodies and luggage searched, officers found marijuana.
"Based on the examination of the officers, the two women were friends of Ardi Prasetyo who is currently languishing in Semarang Prison," said Dadi.
Finding visitors carrying narcotics, the two women were immediately secured for further investigation.
The officer also asked the two visitors to do a urine test.
After being secured, officers reported the findings to the Ngaliyan Sector Police, Semarang City. The police came to the prison and accepted the findings along with the marijuana evidence in the paper package.
"The evidence that has been confiscated include marijuana in paper packages and one cellphone," he added.
