Tadaaaaa! Look what the students put together.

Here I am again writing my thirteenth (13th) #ulog post telling how my day was. It was good actually and just the usual sched from Monday and now, SpEd class in daytime and online class at nighttime. But the day is always exciting because of our students. Yes, we do have some activities everyday that students can be motivated as well as learning should be instilled in them.

Today It was really a great day, it didn’t rain or even drizzles, on my way to school it was a fine day. Started our class with greetings, singing songs and dancing. Are you fond of puzzles? Well this time in our class we decided to have a puzzle game. This one’s interesting, this puzzle is just not any puzzle but it is also designed for children with disability. Puzzles are fun to use, they will learn literacy and numeracy skills or even recognition and matching skills.

As we gave the puzzles to them, they were happy because they knew it was a puzzle game time again just like before when we had some activities. So we handed them the puzzles on the tables, scrambled puzzle with letters and for them to put up the pieces. Some of them know the alphabet letters and others are just fond watching the colors.

WHY PUZZLE GAMES?

  • Promote problem solving skills.
  • Promotes persistence and builds confidence.
  • Improves social skills.
  • Improves motor skills.
  • Improves memory and attention span.

A fantastic tool for the child’s cognitive development and child’s mind.

We (teachers) were happy with the result of the activity because they had come up and put together the pieces and after that, we tried asking them the colors and the letters on the butterfly puzzle game. It was kind of confusing for them but with the help and assistance of the teachers they finished it. We had a great afternoon with our activities.

Thank you for reading my #ulog post. :)

Yours Truly,
