ULOG - Just a simple little post about Former Eastern Block Cartoons!

You know, there are a bunch of things about the "former" eastern block that many of us don't know and that aren't all bad.
One of those is their sense of humour which to me is sometimes best depicted in their cartons. Sure these cartoons are not necessarily up to speed with what many or most of us are used to, i.e. Looney Tunes or Disney etc. But taking into consideration their lack of technology and so on, it makes it all the better to watch.

I just finished watching one of these cartoons, it is called AJETO,

Two dudes that have crazy small boy minded building ideas and actually do them, I swear they crack me up!

Here is one as an example:

This is a series of cartoons from the early 1980's, which I gathered from the credits at the end of the cartoon, with Czech and Slovak names (then it was Czechoslovakia) and I even noticed a German surname in there, so maybe there was a cameraman from then East Germany, who knows.

Whatever the case may be, the series of their blunders and ideas just cracks me up, literally bursting out in laughs as watching them do their thing.

But that's not the only one, there is a new cartoon for kids that cracks me up and it is from Russia, the "mother country of the former USSR".

It is called Masha and The Bear!

OMG, talk about crack ups, again, not necessarily a cartoon that is comparable to Disney cartoons, but man, the humour is so damn good I literally burst out in laughs a dozen or so times while watching these.

After all, in the former eastern block I guess that laughs is what is needed the most as things are not as good as what the people had hoped for when giving up on the former totalitarian regime, the changes they hoped for are not happening as quickly as they had liked for them to happen and many people are 'down in the dumps' as far as emotions go.

But to not go into that, here is a link to this killer Russian cartoon that I have to admit, I enjoy watching:

As you can gather this is new and not made during The Cold War era, so this is purely Russian, not USSR so to say.

I'm no former eastern block fan, but these are EXCELLENT!

Had to share this, share the smiles and laughs, man humour and comedy have no boundaries or borders and should never be looked upon as something bad as they make people laugh.
