#ULOG POST 8 : A MILESTONE

Another Blessed Day Steemit friends . Today is another special day for our family .We are attending our eldest Son 1st Graduation Exercises as a Senior High graduate .

At 7a.m. my son went to the school to attend their thanksgiving mass , only the students attended the Eucharistic celebration because the venue cannot hold both parents and students .

We followed around 8:30 a.m. , and headed to the school gym .My mother -in-law came with us to witness this great event . The gym was almost full , you can see the happy faces of parents , the smile never leaving their faces , at quarter to nine , the students came pouring in for a 5 mins break .

At exactly 9a.m. the ceremony started with the processional marching of the students and principal and faculty staff. The students were highlighted by letting them walk one by one on the aisle , the teachers wore Toga as also the students.

The principal presented the 380 Candidates for graduation to the school president . Distribution of diplomas , awarding of academic honors, special awards abd loyalty awards to the graduates followed suit .

Today , Only the Senior High in the STEM STRAND were having their graduation rites today , there 8 sections , the school was very organized in this matter , The graduates were presented on a per section basis , First , the teachers called the concerned parents to line up on one side of the gym , medals were given for parents to hold , While the Adviser and her class starts to march to the stage , one by one the students were presented by the adviser and the parents will go up the stage , put on the medal and the Academic cap on their children , the student will then hold up their diploma and bow and then go back to their proper position onstage while the parents returned to their seat.

Our turn came after 1 1/2 hours , our mother in law , my husband and I started to line up together with the other proud parents of the class , When my child was called , I placed the graduation medal on him , His lola put on the Honor medal on him , and my husband put on the academic cap.

I praised God for this great milestone in our lives, I thank God that my son graduated with honors and in two months time , he will be starting another journey , that of a college student , I am still in awed that my son will be leaving our side , I can feel he is starting to be independent and mature in his decision , these past few days , he is taking the time to bond with his high school friends as my son will be studying in Manila . I thank the Lord for his provision and blessings for this past 19 yrs of my marriage life , His unending faithfulness and grace and I give back all .honors and glory to the Lord
