Our night was a little tired. Our son's cough and colds progressed. He got a sore throat too.

Before bedtime, we gave him a saline solution to get rid of his phlegm and hoping he wouldn't vomit if he dozes off to sleep. Glad he was playing with his nebulizer that made it easy for us to give him the saline solution unlike before that we have to force him to breathe into the nozzle.

We used to give him ventolin solution but the doctor told us to stop giving him this solution if he doesn't have wheezing or indication of shortness of breath. So last night, we tried the saline solution and hoped it will give him the relief.

I was happy he slept a few minutes after I carried him in my arms to sleep but just 5 minutes later, he had series of coughs that we vomited again. Fortunately, we have a disposable plastic bag (the one they used in the supermarket to pack our grocery items, also we use it as garbage bags) ready under our bed in case he vomits which he really did.

Any tips to lessen the vomit with the toddlers?

As a mother, it is really hard to see you child hurt. My husband was patting his back, telling our son it totally fine and he is okay, reassuring him that we are with him. After cleaning him up, I carried him in my arms again and doze to sleep. Another series of coughs occurred after midnight but thankfully he didn't vomit. We just rubbed him a Vicks​ vapor rub in his chest, back, throat and a little amount near his nose.

Just this morning because we send him to his Aunt, he developed a ​ hoarse voice and I know it hurts because when he swallows his milk, he shut his eyes. Gave him a paracetamol mixed​ in his milk too because he is feverish. I guess another trip to the ​hospital this afternoon if these coughs and colds don't subside. It will be his birthday this 13th and praying that he will be okay by then.
