#ULOG S2018E81: A Season For Everything
I am blessed today with a verse found in Ecclesiastes 3:11 which goes like this:
"He has made everything beautiful in its time."
In life, we have our own list of things to do, things to achieve, goals to pursue, bucket lists and so on. When we were still young, we can't wait to go to secondary, in our high school days, we can't wait to get to college, do the certain things we wanted and durong college, we hope to finish right away, land a job, earn, save, settle down, have kids, retire and we feel it would be an achievement.
However, there are certainly things in life which happens and we don't like it. Like facing health problems which might hinder our way to ticking off that line on our bucklet list.
It is true that our life has stages, we got to cherish each phase, celebrate the today, appreciate whatever stage we are at and don't force things.
This reminded me of a speech or maybe an inspirational speaker telling his audience about our life phases:
- Study
- Finish Studies
- Get a Job or Be an Entrepreneur
- Find a Lifetime Spouse and Marry
- Have a Family
- Retire
But most of the time, things are being switched, although there are also other cases of still being able to manage the switches, most of the time, hardship and challenges happen on the way.
Like if you switch having a family before finishing studies, surely problems come along the way. There's a season and a time for everything. Oftentimes we are just impatient, we want things to work our way without really reckoning on the consequences.
But when we wait especially in God's perfect time, when we follow the phases of life and be faithful, what we all have written in our bucket list will surely come beautifully.
Patience has a reward and its reward is surely worth the wait.
