My internship at this certain company is about to end, this will be my last week for my on-the-job training and I am surely going to miss everything that involves this course. I am grateful that my co-intern and I were assigned to different areas and departments. It’s really amazing how you can learn from both field and office works. But then, I am a girl who loves the field and the heat of the sun won’t stop me from doing what I love.

After weeks of being stuck in the office, we finally went out of our shell and explore the beauty of civil engineering. Before we visited or were assigned at Cebu Port Authority, we also surveyed the area of the fencing project at Citilink. After a few days, we had our materials test at DPWH and passed our pile driving plans at Mandani Bay and went back to the cool peaceful office. Heh~

I thought we’d be spending our last week of internship at the office but the plot twisted and we were able to go out and quested the project at CPA. When I entered the area my eyes were forming into big shapes of hearts! I was so in love with the place and in awe. It was always my dream to see the process and construction of piers/ports and bridges. This project we visited is a port/pier project.

My eyes bursted into shiney diamond stars when I saw how the laborers worked hard for the fabrications of girders and beams. My heart was full of joy and excitement to see the work site. My smile got even bigger when we jumped and walked from one slab to another.

DREAMS DO COME TRUE! Someday, I’ll be looking forward to bridge constructions. Maybe just like this port, it would also turn into reality.
