#ULOG 017: Philippine Eagle (Artwork #04) | A Step-by-Step Illustration

HEY GUYS! Today we celebrate my one-month anniversay here on Steemit. Yayyy! 🎉 I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome especially to my steemovers and steemitdavao families who are ever supporting, and Sir Terry @surpassinggoogle for encouraging us newbies to be real and for keeping us motivated here on Steemit. I also would like to thank those people who helped me in my Steemit journey, you know who you are.

In celebration of my one-month anniversary, I'd like to offer you and share with you a sketch I made. I drew a Philippine Eagle because it rightly deserves its title as the Philippine's national bird- a symbol of unity, beauty and hope. I'm a proud Filipino. And being proud to be a Filipino is the best thing that I've done for my country.

It took me three hours to finish this drawing. And again, I still haven't bought a new set of pencils so the materials that I used were:
✔️ Sketchbook
✔️ Eraser
✔️ My good old Staedtler pencil

So, now, I'll be presenting my artwork process.

I did the sketch of the Philippine Eagle

Then I added details on its eyes and started tracing the feathers to make it look thick.

I'm almost done with the feathers.

Next, I added shading on its beak using cross hatching.

I also did the same process on its face.

I added further details on the boundary of the eagle's face and its feathers.

Details on the feathers 😊

And lastly, I added final shading. HERE IT IS! My finished product.
