Ulog #131 Hoyahoy “Asia’s Longest Zipline”
A great place for a meet!
We didn’t go on the zipline today, but I have been on it three times. It is incredibly fun and the view is incredible. A ride over on one line, dismount and a ride back on the return line. The scariest part of the entire trip is the ride back up the hill on what seems to be almost vertical incline and the driver looks 17 years old.
I did say the view was great while on the zipline, but today was an acception as the clouds began to descend on the mountain top and there was nearly zero visibility for those riding the zipline. Here is a very short video of them taking off. These two women were going tandem, which is a great feature of this adventure.
When I rode it, the air was very clear, but windy. I bet it was a great and unique ride with no visibility!
I have been away quite a bit lately so it was good to spend some time with my family. We also brought my wife’s bible study group with us. We had a very full truck load! I purposely have left out the details of the youth coming with us, especially the photos, as my wife @ronafe will most likely want to make a post about them.
Along with the kids,we had Ronafe’s brother, his wife, her mom, dad and her aunt. We had a great time! “It is more fun in the Philippines!”
It is also very beautiful! I will share a few photos of the view and some flower photos. All photos taken by me with my Huawei Nova 2i.
When we arrived the visibility was very good, but later so very foggy.
Hoyahoy is on Mount Malindang in Mindanao region of Misamis Occidental Philippines. It is also in our back yard. We can leave our house and be in this spot within a half hour. I have always loved the mountains!
The park has a small church, a hotel and a restaurant capable of seating around 100. Many people have their weddings here, or come for a reception and for a great venue for photography.
My son and niece looking out of the window of the very small stone church.
A shot from inside the church.
Here is a picture of the hotel and a couple of the area surrounding the hotel.
I didn’t get a shot of the restaurant, except this shot is taken outside of the restaurant. It is also the location for lunching the folks on the zipline.
I took a few shots of the flowers which are plentiful throughout the park.
I hope you enjoyed our little outing! Perhaps one day we will have a Steemit meetup here.
Thanks
Daddy William
