Ulog 39: Chess

Sunday rolls around again. So what have I been doing this week? I am getting back into chess. I am a beginner by any definition. The game is quite addicting though. I am playing through chess.com.

I started playing the game in hope of trying to kill some time in between stuff. But I notice that I keep clicking on “new game” every time the last game ended. It can be the time killer. So hopefully I won’t be playing chess too many more times today. I should find something more productive to do.

Sunday is also piano lesson day for my daughter. As you can see in this picture, I can only see her tiny legs compared to this 800-lbs piano.

Vyvian has the cold all week and I have other arrangements that I couldn’t sit with her to practice. She is still at an age where she wants me to sit with her for everything. I think in another year or two she will be able to sit by herself and play by herself and process her own self-improvement.

These days she is learning stuff that is getting more complicated, in my opinion coming from a guy who doesn’t know much about music. Stuff like f-major Key, rhymes, etc.
