Editing Day Ulog
Evening, Steemians! I hope everyone is having a good day. Just a little ulog for me today.
I (first draft) edited about half of the book in progress today! WOOHOO! It's short, I admit - but that's still a huge amount of focus for me. I did it in the balcony grove with Yuan keeping me company (Maggie, if you're wondering, doesn't really like to go on the balcony. She's been out there once, maybe twice, ever, and she's lived here for almost ten years). That was my big accomplishment for the day.
Right now I am cooking burrito innards, lol. First I made sticky rice and now I'm cooking chicken (reusing the same pot). Then I shall have dinner. :)
I don't really have any photos of what I've been up to, ergo the memes, lol.

@pennsif's post about doing things for the environment reminded me of something I did yesterday in this vein. I have been watching YouTube documentaries about environmental solutions, and it got me thinking that we should all write/call/convince insurance companies - like, homeowners' insurance that cover flood damage or wildfire damage and the like; health insurance is effected too since pollution and all effects our health, but that's not really a "business" in much of the world besides my backward ass country - to invest in cleaning up the environment, since it would save them money in the long run. No matter if their CEO gives one flying shit about pollution and people dying, facts are they're going to be seeing ever-increasing claims because of climate problems, deforestation, and so on. More floods, more wildfires, more landslides. So it makes good business sense, from a purely selfish perspective on their part, for them to invest in planting trees and rebuilding soils and such. I wrote a letter to Geico so far (who knew they did flood insurance? I didn't. I thought they just did cars). Join me if you like the idea! :)
