Ulog #14 - The Mouse, Fish And The Tablet

Hey yo#uloggers! The weather is really nice today, from rainy to sunny. Usually, we go early in the morning to do our groceries, but this time we went to the market after lunch. I prepared potatoes and zucchini in the oven, seasoned with salt, black and red pepper and sprinkled of olive oil and a bit of water.

Our favorite "shopska salad" was served with grilled peppers, cucumber, tomatoes parsley, onions, scallions and feta cheese. Our son helped and arranged the table on the patio, my husband picked the fresh ingredients from Mamo's garden. We let Mamo rest, tho she doesn't really like doing nothing lols. She is always busy working in her garden.

Tablet Repaired
After lunch, we went downtown to pick up Rimbie's tablet. He didn't use it for almost a year because it was broken. Yesterday, we found a computer repair shop, we were lucky that they were able to fix the tablet. He said he missed playing games. We promised him that when he is 12 years old he can have his own telephone.

Nowadays, almost all the children of his age have their own telephone. Sometimes he is complaining why he cannot have it now. As a parent, I think it is very important to set a limit, with this fast technology and stuff. It's scary sometimes. He understands that school is his priority more than anything else. I'm grateful for this because he is a good student.

Playing Outside
Late in the afternoon, Rimbie played with his friends. I remember when they were little, I used to play with them. But now they are almost teenagers:( How time flies. Every summer they would wait for my son to come to BG. They are always looking forward to see each other. Summer is the best time for him and Christmas lols

Afternoon Walk
My husband and I had our routine walk. It was fresh after 17:00 but Instead of going to the woods, we went to Kaufland, it's a big supermarket. I bought a new mouse, the cable from my mouse was ready to collapse lols to give up anytime. There I also found "dilis" (small fried fish) They call it "ztsa ztsa". Ztsa tsaza is more like appetizer here. We call it dilis back home and it can be a meal, just combine it with rice. I haven't eaten rice for 2 weeks except for the other day when I had "Zele" (cabbage with rice) I also bought noodle soup, was craving for it.

When we got home, I cooked rice, soup and reheated the fish in the oven. My son ate noodle soup and dilis, but not the head haha he said" it's a rotten fish" "It's not a rotten fish, this is the way you eat, it's perfect and it's delicious more than any food." Then he asked "Mama, do you feel like you're in the Philippines now because you are eating this kind of food?" "Oh yeah, yeahhhh Pinoy food!!

Anyway, this is how we eat in my country, you mix everything and enjoy the food lols. My husband had rice and tomatoes. Mamo had only watermelon for dinner. It's a new day again tomorrow. I hope you guys are having a great day.
