It's a beautiful, dry day in North Central, Missouri, USA. I have inch cracks in my dirt!
I went out to water the garden and took a few pics of the zinnias.

Garden update

Cherry tomatoes so far,

• July 4th 1
• July 5th 2
• July 6th 8
• Today 2 so far that accidentally ended up in my mouth before I brought them inside ::shrug::

Squash so far.

• 4 green striped zucchini
• 6 yellow crooked neck squash
• I'm seeing butternut squash starting to form!
  • Also seeing tiny melons!

Have harvested 4 beets and 4 onions.
Peas are done. I'm a bit let down with the quantity. Hoping to do better with the fall planting.

• Reminder, in north Missouri, I'll be planting quite a bit toward the end of this month for the fall garden. Rutabaga's, beets, kohlrabi, beans, lettuce...

Putting on my electrician's cap

When you are a homesteader, you wear many caps.
Today I will spend some time wearing my electrician's cap.

Our heating and cooling guy has had quadruple bypass heart surgery, so we ended up having another guy come to hook up the heat pump. He has ordered a few parts. In the meantime, I need to run the 220VAC back out to it.

It seems nothing is as easy as first thought. Hmm I might have to pull the wallboard off from around the electrical panel to see how to get the wire outside. ::rolling eyes::

Well, re-hydration break complete.
