ULOG #6: A Mother's Heartbreak

Nothing compares to the heartbreak of a mother seeing her child hurt.

I feel so down today. I am worried about my son. He was hurt. As a mother, it really brings so much @tears in my heart. I hate myself.

My son got slightly electrocuted. He burnt his hand. He inserted a key to the extension wire we had near the computer table. It happened so suddenly.

I can't help but blame myself for what happened. I was just in the living room changing clothes of his baby sister. My husband was also busy doing his work on his laptop. We didn't notice that my baby boss ran towards the computer table and inserted the key which I have left.

It really happened so fast. I couldn't bear to see him crying with pain. I was worried I didn't know what to do.

Good thing my husband was at home. He applied first aid treatment and we hurriedly brought him to our Rural Health Unit where he was immediately attended.

I really hate myself. If only I had put extra efforts on ateending my kids, this wouldn't happen. If only I had been more careful on where I put our things, If only our helper is with us now. There are many if only's that keeps on popping my mind. But what more can I do? It already happened.

I have learned more lessons from today. I really need to pay extra attention to my four kids.

Thank God nothing more serious have happened to my baby.
