#ulog 19: Caterpullar attack
🤔 Last Thursday, I have a seriously caterpillar attack on my right arm.
It is very bad feeling on that day my arm was swollen only.
I think i was at that day only. But 🙁 saddenly it almost 4 days ago till now. and it have a allergic reaction my arm have more itchy raches.
There are some facts about caterpillar attact.
How do you treat a attack?
Gently wash the affected area with soap and water, then dry without coming into contact with the skin (e.g. use a hair dryer/fan). Apply alcohol or ammonia to cool the area and temporarily relieve symptoms; Apply sticky tape (duct tape, cellophane tape, etc) onto the area to pull off retained hairs.
To treat a caterpillar exposure:
If the caterpillar is on the skin, remove it without using your hands!
Gently put tape over the exposed area, sticky side down. (Any kind of tape will do.)
Pull up the tape, removing the hairs or spines.
Repeat with fresh pieces of tape as often as needed to treat the area involved.
Wash the area gently with soap and water.
If the area itches, put on a paste of baking soda and water.
If that doesn't help, try a hydrocortisone cream.
If that doesn't help, try an antihistamine cream. That shouldn’t be the first choice, as it doesn't always help. Also, some people have skin reactions to these creams.
