ULOG #006: Our Daily Bread - Selling Barbecue outside our home

Blessed day steemians from around the world. Today is a very busy day for our family as we started selling barbecues outside our house. Selling barbecue is my mother's main source of income so we support her by helping from the preparations up to selling the goods.

Our day today is quite different from the usual day activity since early morning we were already at the market buying meats for our barbecue. Then after we went home, we started preparing our goods to display and sell. My mother started marinating all the meat we bought.

Early afternoon I started stitching the chicken intestines on the sticks. To be honest, it is very tiring because stitching one stick of chicken intestine takes time and effort. I also have to make sure that it is off the same height. Our Chicken intestines or most commonly known in the Philippines as "ISAW" costs only 5.00Php, pretty cheap. While I am busy preparing the chicken intestines, my mother and wife is also busy putting pork meat, hotdogs on sticks and other goods we sell.

We finished preparing our barbecue around 4pm in time my father goes home from work. My father is the one who prepared the barbecue grill and the tables. We then started displaying our goods after my father is done with it. At around 5:30pm we started selling our barbecues.

As of this writing, our barbecue is almost sold out and only few sticks were left. This is actually not our first time selling barbecue outside our home. We started it last January but they stopped it because it is too tiring for my mother to wake up very early to go to the market then prepare the whole thing the whole day. But then, they can't resist the feedback of the customers who were always asking when will they sell again, that's why, my mother decided to sell again that started today. And as a support, we helped her through the whole process so she will not be stressed out the whole day.

This is our daily bread, our source of income for our daily needs. I really appreciate all the positive reviews from our customer because that's what motivates our family to continue this very tiresome business.
