To use a curriculum or not?
I'm an unschooling mum so a curriculum isn't something we use. A curriculum is far too much like school.
However I do love a good 'strew'!
Strewing is leaving things of interest for our children to find.
That's quite a loose way of describing strewing. It can be placing a book or shell or game on the table or it can be suggesting a new place to go.
I feel that, loosely, using a curriculum could be a way of strewing. A way of finding ideas to show them, with little research on my behalf.
There's a curriculum that is popular with a few of my friends and, because it follows nature through the year, I think it might just work for us. It's called 'Exploring Nature with Children' and you can find it here
Anyway, I'm going to try it in the next few weeks and I'll let you know how I get on. The Pears children might love it.
