Dear Diary: My Health Update Today
I am so elated today because I have found out that my appearance might not go or progress as bad as I am expecting it to get. In other words my condition might reverse, but of course it won't go back to its original state but my wish that things to stop might actually be realized right now.
My Leontiasis condition is caused by my hyperparathyroidism and I am curing it by taking a medicine for it. Now it is actually the medicine approach to my problem and the other approach is via parathyroidectomy which will make me not to use medicine anymore. But the otio to remove my parathyroid is not on my plan now although I want it to get removed just to save me from large expenses of buying a medicine for my parathyroid and bone complications.
Now what I am happy about is that the fact that taking a medicine which I am doing right now would possibly make changes again on my appearance and I can notice it when I try to close my mouth now. The gap on my lips are getting tighter now and maybe I hope I can finally close my mouth fully and my raised cheek bones to taper down a little on their own.
My case is almost similar to the patient below and you can read in the footnotes the improvement that had happened.
Aa week from now I would be seeing my doctor and surely enough I will tell her the improvements that I felt after less than two months of taking my medicine. I am hopeful in my heart that in either way, surgery or just taking medicine, my condition will not anymore progress like I am fearing before. Although I know that my condition is ugly and terrible at least I won't be submerged neck deep in misery and embarrassment with my bone disease deformities coupled with me being a dialysis patient too.
So I am very grateful and thankful about this development and I am just asking for everyone's prayer for my condition to improve much better as I continually take my needed medicine which is one of the reasons that I am here at steemit and knocking on everyone's heart to at least have a glimpse of me and give me their thoughts and prayers.

Yes I am happy how my medicine will work although I wanted the surgery route if it would be feasible I will soon know when I get to see my endocrinologist again soon.
What is important now is that my body pains are now getting fixed and that my deformity won't much progress.

We were all surprised by what happened to me and just are expecting me to just die like other patients.
But what is important for me now is the effect of my medicine. It fixes things up especially my bones. I am really feeling it because of the vanishing pains in my body. It also gives me this weird feeling of I want to stretch all the time too :)

My medicine is working as i t should. I am just watching my diet carefully to avoid unnecessary imbalances in my body chemistry especially regarding the phosphate and calcium levels.

That is great news that the condition can reverse some. I will be praying for your continued improvement and for the funding you need to continue your treatment. I support you as much as I can but I am minnow here and my support doesn't go very far.

I hope with the current technology in the world of health, may be able to do good for your face.
so it could be normal again. I think plastic surgery is the best at the moment.
It's an option and it can be done @aaawee but what prevents me is the financial constraints about it. So we would just hope maybe soon it will come a reality.
