As a child you were so pretty. Among your peers you had that eye-catching shimmer. Your gait alone was enough to attract random hisses from every side as you walked across- you were totally smashing. You seemed to be every man's dream. Some promising young men even tried their luck, but you seemed to have that insatiable taste.

Then you made a choice. You chose to run. And You have been running since 16- from door to door, slaying from streets to states, you even fly overseas if need be. Most hotel bedsheets now even smell of you. You're such a regular customer. Your job is 'runs'. And all you do is run. Now fast-forward to a couple of years.

In the end, no Olympic medal to show for it(not even a bronze). No retirement benefits(not even ordinary dignity). All you have is that "stinky reproach" and a couple of STD's to match.
Kind kids call you 'mama', but deep down you know you're nobody's mama. And some men will call you "our wife" but you know it's just to help you belong.

If you're lucky enough to get old and grey, when you look at your tired and worn out bleached skin, all on your mind will be "oh!! wasted years". What a life! The life of a runs girl.
