Engagement An Update on Bolyartsi Project

Greetings, friends!

Let me tell you a bit about the Facebook page we set up after our latest visit to Bolyartsi village.

Its name is translated as:

"My Village" Exhibition in Bolyartsi

It has two goals:

To engage local participants in posting pictures and taking part in the exhibition to be;

To give them feedback and new ideas up front to the interaction we hope to later develop further - so that some part of the work on our idea has already began.

A few examples with translations below:

This one is a late case but showing a trend that we were able to start at the beginning.

It says:

"Author - Ivan Mihailov"

"Title - Energy"

(He is a child between 10 and 13 - the text above does not state that. It is also not our concern what his exact age is, not now. He was obviously attentive during our live meeting in December 2018 when we said it was a good exercise to put titles on pictures - some associations. This one rocks - Energy lines going out from a core. It's so Zen).

This time We went with short, positive feedback, since the picture deserves it:

"Interesting point of view, an interesting photo to look at. Good job :)"

Our Feedback:

"The topic is very nice. To take full advantage of it, try taking the photo from a lower position and closer to the. The actual seeds can be seen on the foreground. Try a point of view as the one that will be uploaded in the comments."

"Feedback - It's good that you pay attention to shadows. We could put a bit more accent on those in such a case. We can talk about this and many other things later.

For now, in short... When you pick your hero of the story, or your thing to focus on in the picture, give it a bit more significance by making it larger - taking more of the volume of the frame."

Other feedback was given in private messages and on other posts like those. The idea is to stay positive and find what's valuable and can improve.

And there are a lot of good examples coming from those kids, already. Makes us sure we're on the right path.
