In this last part about the warning about the dangers of electronic cigarette, we watch or switch from regular cigarettes to e-cigarettes, or not, have a positive impact on consumer health.

STATEMENT 3.

Electronic cigarettes can be as harmful as ordinary cigarettes.

That is not true. In practice, we can see that millions of consumers who have been smoking electronically for several years have little or no adverse effects. Studies on safety and the toxicity of the electronic cigarette produce unanimously positive results, especially when the comparison is made with a regular cigarette. Admittedly, it has not been proven that electronic cigarettes are less harmful than ordinary cigarettes. In order to do this effectively, additional long-term studies are required. It may take decades to identify potential adverse effects. The question that goes without saying is, of course, "should we wait for this and just keep on smoking further"?

The answer is ready and clear NO!

Regular cigarettes have proven to be very harmful to health. Many diseases related to smoking such as cancer, lung disease, heart failure, etc ... add this strength. The list of toxic, carcinogenic and chemical substances in cigarettes is simply impressive. In a cigarette there are more than 4000 chemicals. Electronic cigarettes have not been proven to be harmful to health. The side effects associated with electronic smoking are a dry mouth and a dry throat. The number of substances that have been found in e-liquids so far we can count on our fingers. Those who wanted to demonstrate the KT's deleterious character, always returned from a bald trip.

The above paragraphs do not prove anything, but one thing is certain: It would be incredibly stupid not to choose an alternative that has strong suspicions to be a much better choice for health.

This does not mean we should not be alert. There is always the risk that additives or impurities can not be contained in the liquid. Clear quality standards for producers are therefore a must for the future. Control of the hardware itself can also be a step forward. Today, users are experimenting with different battery-atomizer-fluid combinations to achieve better performance. Nothing excludes that in the event of improper use, temperatures could rise to high levels of toxic and also carcinogenic substances. Such situations must be avoided.

The ingredients of the e-liquid. Harmful or not?

Propylene Glycol: The nicotine carrier and flavors that should provide visible vapor. This substance is also used in the food industry and cosmetics. The World Health Organization considers Propylene Glycol to be non-toxic. This material is therefore safe when it comes into contact with the skin, injected or swallowed. As far as electronic cigarettes are concerned, it must be shown to the future that this substance is also safe when inhaled.

Glycerol: As an alternative to propylene glycol, some manufacturers choose Glycerol. This substance can also be found in some medical preparations, but also in, for example, toothpastes, mouthwash or counterfeit smoke found in discotheques and theaters. Some users experience respiratory and / or eye irritation. Do not experiment with Glycerol by using the liquids in combination with hardware not intended for use. When this substance is heated more than intended, acrolein can be released - a substance that is also found in tobacco smoke and is actually harmful.

Nicotine: Nicotine gives a certain taste and the typical throat hit - or the feeling in the throat that you also experience with regular cigarettes. Nicotine is addictive. Whether nicotine is toxic or not depends on the dose and duration of use. The risk of an overdose of nicotine we discussed elsewhere. The incorporation of nicotine through the body as well as the concentration in the heart, arteries and the brain is significantly lower in electronic smoking. Recent research by Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos, cardiologist at the Onassis Surgery Center in Athens, showed that 7 minutes of smoking an electronic cigarette did not cause acute harmful effects to cardiac function. Smoking of a regular cigarette, however, caused an immediate deterioration in cardiac function. A survey conducted in 10 university centers in the United States and Canada in the 1990s and to which
