Era da tempo che sentivo parlare di questa casa situata poco dopo la città di Grosseto (Toscana) procedendo verso la località di Principina a Mare. In zona ci sono molti casolari rurali abbandonati e tutti rigorosamente esplorati dagli appassionati di urban exploration, essendo Grosseto una città molto piccola. Altrettanto facile è scambiarsi le storie: difatti, sapevo che in questa casa era stata messa una bambola per creare atmosfera. Avevo necessità di provare il mio nuovo Sigma 12-24 regalatomi per Natale e ho deciso di fare una visita veloce. La struttura è molto pericolante con un secondo piano non accessibile. Le stanze sono vuote con molta spazzatura e, purtroppo, niente bambola. Ho scattato con il cavalletto e senza flash. Non essendo una fotografa esperta, mi ero scordata di regolare manualmente gli ISO per più di metà foto.
Abandoned country house near Grosseto - Urban exploration photography
It was a long time i'd been hearing about this country house located just after the city of Grosseto (Tuscany) on the road to the town of Principina a Mare. There are many abandoned rural houses in the zone and all strictly explored by urban exploration enthusiasts, being Grosseto a very small city. Equally easy it is to share stories: in fact, I knew that somebody had placed a doll inside the house to create atmosphere. I needed to try my new Sigma 12-24 that i was given for Christmas and I decided to pay a quick visit. The structure is very unsafe with a not accessible second floor. The rooms are empty with lots of rubbish and, unfortunately, no dolls. I shot with tripod and without flash. I'm not an expert photographer and I forgot to manually adjust the ISO for more than half the photos.
La stanza più interessante è senza dubbio la stalla: a renderla interessante è un murales che dona colore all'ambiente alquanto scarno.
The most captivating room is undoubtedly the barn and what makes it interesting is a mural that gives some color to the bare environment.

Non c'era nessuna bambola, ma il mini calcio balilla ne ha compensato la mancanza.
There was no doll indeed, but the small table soccer kind of made up for it.

Avendo finito di esplorare gli ambienti, sono uscita per una perlustrazione esterna. Non avrei mai creduto di scoprire, dietro ad un muro, un garage con il relitto di una Prinz, la piccola vettura prodotta dalla casa automobilistica tedesca NSU dal 1957 al 1973.
Having finished exploring the rooms, I went out for an outdoor patrol. I would have never thought to discover, behind a wall, a garage with the wreck of a Prinz, the small car produced by the German car manufacturer NSU from 1957 to 1973.

I was thinking about getting into this it looks like it can be a lot of fun.
It's very fun for many reasons, but you must be cautious and respectful of the places you visit. Where do you live?
I live over by Seattle Washington I currently have a Nikon d500 with 8 different lenses
You'll mostly need wide angle for urbexing.
Keen eye, this is a great stuff for color study or for appreciation and reflection.
I'm just an amateur photographer, but my skills in illustration help me with composition! Thank you!

Places like this are very common where i live! I love urbexing in the country!
