Very entertaining read and some great photos.
It looks like it must have been a pretty naff attraction back in the day, it's probably better now.
The guards are missing a trick, they should be doing a sideline in guided tours!
Thanks!, it wasnt the most exciting theme park back in the day, but was close and thats why we went just once. They sold most of the rides so there's little left in that respect.
I have been told the Knightmare cost about a million quid to erect and may cost a lot to remove, thus it remains.
At least it's creating a few jobs for the security guards.
It's interesting coming from the SE.... there are hardly any abandons... they get snapped up and redeveloped pretty quickly!

The owners must by spending a pretty penny hiring all these guys + hounds too. There have been many who have tried to climb the 'Knightmare', maybe its down to insurance claims etc.. for the ones who fall and die?
You have to wonder who these owners are.... able to spend so much to barely maintain a wreck!
Could anyone claim insurance following a trespass accident? Surely not?

Probably not, we could have refused.. it was a choice we made as we didnt want to piss them off (the photograph). They cant really do anything legally besides kick us out.
