A quiet period and the decision to hold back the weekly report until there were a group of contributions to present and discuss - the empty week in the middle being the driver for this.

The stand-out piece over the past three weeks is the analyses that was staff picked and is named above as 'Mass adoption and retention'.

Looking at the following chart from the aforementioned post, it can be argued that for as 'little' as 1 STEEM on a payout, the retention rates can jump over 20/30%.

The author was keen to state that:

I found this surprising too. And quite encouraging. However it does require more study to try and understand the cause-effect relationship. The low earnings could be due to people leaving, rather than the other way around.

And had this to say regarding communities/SMT in the comments:

The more I think about communities, the more I think that this (together with SMTs) could be the game changer for Steem. It would be great to see more info on what is planned so that devs / communities / marketers can start planning for this too and we can all start discussing whether there are other elements we would like to see included.

The analysts are keen to know what is planned, and I feel that 'we' could provide a useful input once we see how communities and the marketing strategy - there is a marketing strategy right? :)

The remaining analyses were similar to previous contributions and whilst there is no problem with this as far as review and scoring, the text provided here would be a little on repeat from previous reports.

Analysis and visual reporting

The aim of this section is to represent the current weeks activity along with a recent set of data. The current data span covers the previous 33 weeks.

Weekly Average Score and number of Contributions

The average contribution score across the 36 weeks of data gathering is 74.5% which is an excellent overall average. An average of 3.12 submissions over the 36 weeks, this number is steadily falling which is a touch disappointing.

Contributor Totals and Average Score

Four contributors have now submitted 15 or more analyses to utopian-io in the past 9 months, and and 9 of these contributors have averaged a score over 75 during this period. Good going!

Contributions that did not receive a score are not included in the charts above.

Review Totals by Reviewer (Scored/ Not scored)

Two reviewers assessed all 99 contributions that received a score in the past 36 weeks. 'crokkon' has reviewed over two-thirds of all contributions to the category. Six contributions have not been scored during this period.

We would like to be able to give every contribution the opportunity to be scored and welcome conversation from potential, or existing contributors that have an idea of a piece of work they are thinking about submitting.

Hello @abh12345. Thank you for sharing the category overview. The category is very quiet in the last few weeks. I do hope to see more users discover and support projects that really need some help with analyzing data. Great job that you and @crokkon are doing. Well done!

Thank you @knowledges

The new average seems to be 1-2 contributions each week, 3+ is outstanding. There are so many projects to analyse, I think once the price of STEEM recovers a little more we will see an influx of contributions.

Thanks

Asher

Thank you for your review, @knowledges! Keep up the good work!
