New Logo Proposal for NewsCatchr: Free & Open-Source News-Reader

This app let user access news everywhere and anytime. NewsCatchr is an open source app, that enabling access to news for everyone. The app is very small and resource-friendly, it available for Android 4.2+. To learn more about their project, you can visit their github here. The app is also free to download here.
Their current logo looks general and hard to connect with the brand name, so I decided to propose new logo for NewsCatchr. Here's my new logo proposal for NewsCatchr.
Benefits / Improvements
The idea was coming from softball player that catching a ball. Little circle represent globe, symbolism of news. This app will look after news and user will easily catch the news by their hand. This logo also blend with "C" as initial letter of Catchr. Blue is the main color scheme to connect with their material design and maintain their identity. It also looks professional and modern.
Tools
I use CorelDraw X7 as my graphic design tool.
