Project Details
JabRef is an open source bibliography reference manager. The native file format used by JabRef is BibTeX, the standard LaTeX bibliography format. JabRef is a desktop application and runs on the Java VM (version 8), and works equally well on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

This was my 6th and last contribution to the JabRef project, as it's now completely translated to Dutch. As mentioned before, there were some issues with older translations that got approved by the project owner himself but seemed to be machine translations. My LM @misslasvegas and I both had a hard time reading those going through the strings. Luckily, she got permission to correct those older translations.
While I thought that these mistakes were mainly words like library, journal, duplicates and strings that I would have to correct, I soon found out that many of the sentences weren't translated correctly either. Before I knew it, I was going through all 32 pages and checking every single string thoroughly and behind the laptop for another few hours. After going through all these strings and correcting them plus also notify the proofreader of the wrong translation with my new suggestion, I still had to translate another 500+ words. In the end, it was a lot more work than I expected when I started translating this last part of the project. But I feel satisfied now that I've finished it, and I've learned some new things along the way too.
I'm very glad that @minersean has taken all the time he did tonight to proofread everything I'd corrected, and after that also the strings that I translated after that to make the translation complete. I know it was a lot of work, and I'm glad we have managed to get everything done by the end of the night. And thank you for the tip about going through the search bar to check a word for consistency.

I think it's very important for everyone, but especially translaters, to have a certain reflective skillset. To go back to old work and look critically at not only other's work but also your own, accept that it can be done better, and change it, is a great skill to have! Good job!
The project indeed turned out to be longer than initially thought, with random words popping up to either get a better translation or to get changed to fit the consistent usage throughout the entire project. The search function was indeed a big help ;)!
