Project Details
Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform JavaScript run-time environment that executes JavaScript code outside of a browser... Node.js allows the creation of Web servers and networking tools using JavaScript and a collection of "modules" that handle various core functionality... Node.js represents a "JavaScript everywhere" paradigm, unifying web application development around a single programming language, rather than different languages for server side and client side scripts.
In simple words, this project brings value to the open source community because it facilitates the creation of all sort of applications using JavaScript, and provides a lot of help and versatility to developers. If you want to know more about this project feel free to visit its website.
Contribution Specifications
- Translation Overview
This is my eighteenth contribution to Node.js, I am continuing with the task of translating every string in the folder named CHANGELOG_V6.md, where there are a lot of indications regarding changes for Node.js V6. These indications are given with very short sentences and brief instructions, sometimes there are abbreviated words and technical terms, depending on the context, some of these technical terms aren’t translated with the goal of preserving the original meaning of the text. And at the end of each string indicating a particular change, there is the name of the person who proposed it.
Some examples of the work done can be seen below.
English

When working on this contribution I was able to learn the following concept:
Rehash: The rehash() method is used to increase the capacity and internally reorganizes this hashtable. This is done to accommodate and access its entries more efficiently. This method is called automatically when the number of keys in the hashtable exceeds this hashtable's capacity. | Source
Noop: A no op (or no-op), for no operation , is a computer instruction that takes up a small amount of space but specifies no operation. The computer processor simply moves to the next sequential instruction. The no op is included in most assembler languages. It may have a label and can serve as a placeholder for a useful instruction to be inserted later during code development. | Source
In the previous contributions, I included the definition of these terms: deprecation, I/O - input/output, callback, asynchrony, POSIX, parsing, path, wildcard, wrapper function, stack trace, floating point value, error-first callbacks, transpilation tool, root certificate, little-endian, DNS rebinding, same-origin-policy, keep-alive behavior, stringification, arrow function, salt (cryptography), semver, lint, fixtures modules, newline, backporting, shell command, ES6 Classes , code refactoring, segfault, tarball, benchmark, type-check, deflate, char, aix and spawn.
