RE: VLC one of the coolest open source media players
Thank you for your contribution. I see that this is your second contribution to Utopian, and I'm always happy to see new contributors.
That said, I wish you'd implement the comments you received for your previous contribution in this one. This post is, essentially, a list of features. There's nothing personal or editorial in it. This information is easy to find online. And it's not like your bringing some cool obscure project to light. As you wrote, it recently passed 3 billion downloads.
Now, I have a nitpick. The app hasn't been called VideoLan Client for a long, long time. The official name is now VLC Media Player, and it is usually just called VLC. From the VideoLan FAQ:
What are the differences between VLC, VLC media player, VideoLAN Client, VideoLAN Server and VideoLAN?
VLC is the official name of VideoLAN's main product, often named VLC. VideoLAN Client is an ancient name of this product.
