Project details

The Curious Expedition is an adventure simulator, where you can simulate being a nineteenth-century avenger, and explore many unexplored places. This game with a simple graphic ensures fun and allows you to live in a funny fantasy world. The game allows the character to live a multitude of adventures exploring this fantastic world in search of treasures and more. Thanks to my role as a translator I have the great and fun opportunity to translate some dialogues of the game and many other details that will be part of it.

Translation Overview:

I had finished all the strings related to the project The curious Expedition, but another document to be translated was recently added.
So, this is my sixth post related to this project. The motivations that drive me to translate are always the same: the passion for open source projects and my belief in the concept of community. This project is a game, in which my job as a translator is to translate the dialogues and the names of the characters. It is really very pleasant and interesting to translate similar projects that combine work with fun.
In these thousand words we have dealt with numerous terms and dialogues related to the game; very often we have found the term "crate”, numerous sentences related to outposts and other numerous dialogues.

Below I propose some significant strings that help to better understand the work that I have done translating these 400 words:

a.)

You arrive in the Outpost. This is the best place ever and you immediately feel better. What do you want to do?

The man [promised|said|assured us that] our [valuables|treasures|goods|items] would be [delivered|sent] to the nearest Outpost by [dog|husky] [sled|courier|transport] [forthwith|post-haste|as soon as was practical|after he'd had a nap].

a.)

eing [situated|located|built] on this [mighty|impressive|lush|rapid|fast-flowing] river meant that the Outpost had [plenty|lots|gallons] of [spare|free|potable|drinkable|delicious] water. I knew we would need plenty on our [trek|travels|journey] and [stocked up accordingly|so we provisioned ourselves well|ordered the locals to ensure we were well-supplied].

The column of light appeared to be pointing towards the $pyramidDir. It blinked off after a few moments. [What might we find if we went that way?|I wonder if we should go in that direction.|I'm sure following the light would be a bad idea.|I imagine only awful things could happen if we went that way.|If we followed the light, surely we would find glory!]
