Bug when viewing zoomed in image in landscape mode

Expected Behavior
When I zoom in on a Picture and change the view to Landscape mode I expect the picture to remain the same, still zoomed in.

Actual Behavior
When I zoom in on a Picture and change the view to Landscape mode, the zoomed in picture changes from being zoomed in to being displayed normal.

How To Reproduce

  • download the simple gallery app from google play

  • open the app and click on any picture

  • zoom in on the picture and change view to Landscape mode

  • Browser: simple gallery app v3.8.2

  • Operating System: Android 7.0

    This is not a bug, the ability to retain zoom level was disabled in the version 3.4 of the application. See here here
