Esteem V1. 6.0: website link on the profile not redirecting to the saves website

Expected behavior
I expect that when I click on website in my profile or another steemit user's profile, the app should redirect me to the presaved website.
Actual behavior
When I clicked on website, instead of redirecting me to the pre-saved website, it remains just at the profile interface .
How to reproduce
after logging in to esteem version 1.6.0 with the required credentials
click on the Menu key - the icon that has your profile picture at the top left hand side, just behind trending
then click on profile. Profile is between home and bookmark.
when the profile loads, click on the "website" link
instead of redirecting your to the web address you have entered in the setting, it will remain at the profile.
to be sure there is a web address in the setting, just click on edit profile icon located before location , check under website, if no website, you can add one and then save. Then go back to profile and click the website it will still not redirect.
you can still try to click on the website on another users profile, still it will not redirect.
Browser/App version: esteem version 1.6.0
Operating system: Android version 8.1.0 Oreo. Techno Camon X
