Why do people share information (and promote) specific projects?

People are writing blogs just about everything.

They share information, experiences, tips about products they have tried. This helps a product reach wider audiences, become more popular and gain more visibility.

“Marketing is really just about sharing your passion.” - Michael Hyatt

So, in my opinion, rule number one for promoting a project/product is:

To know it, to have used it, to have an opinion about it, to know its ideal audience and to know why it should be used.

This help to build a strategy and to know what steps you should follow for an effective promotion!

[5]-Hede.io	Hede.io is the first Steem Interface letting authors to create collaborative Wikis on Steem and contribute to them with their posts. Because of the nature of steem, people can not change others' posts so it makes creating one big chunk of text based wikis not suitable for Steem.

[11]-hearth.net	Hearth.Net is an online gifting marketplace and generosity based social network built on the principals of the gift economy. It is a place where people can reclaim their daily relationships with the generous world that surrounds them.
[12]-Ballerina	Ballerina is a compiled, transactional, statically and strongly typed programming language with textual and graphical syntaxes.
[13]-Alaveteli	This is an open source project to create a standard, internationalised platform for making Freedom of Information (FOI) requests in different countries around the world. The software started off life as WhatDoTheyKnow, a website produced by mySociety for making FOI requests in the UK.
[14]-FixMyStreet	FixMyStreet Platform is an open source project to help people run websites for reporting common street problems such as potholes and broken street lights to the appropriate authority.
[15]-Strapi	The most advanced open-source Content Management Framework (headless-CMS) to build powerful API with no effort.
[16]-Kodi	Kodi is an award-winning free and open source home theater/media center software and entertainment hub for digital media. With its beautiful interface and powerful skinning engine, it's available for Android, BSD, Linux, macOS, iOS and Windows.
[17]-PoziWorld-Elf	PoziWorld Elf lets you use your voice to control things you usually use your mouse and/or keyboard for.
[18]- Anki-Android	A semi-official port of the open source Anki spaced repetition flashcard system to Android. Memorize anything with AnkiDroid!
[19]-Evennia	Evennia is a modern library for creating online multiplayer text games (MUD, MUSH, MUX, MUCK, MOO etc) in pure Python. It allows game creators to design and flesh out their ideas with great freedom. Evennia is made available under the very friendly BSD license.
[20]-hledger	hledger is a computer program for easily tracking money, time, or other commodities, on unix, mac and windows (and web-capable mobile devices, to some extent).
[21]-Cockatrice	Cockatrice is an open-source, multiplatform program for playing tabletop card games over a network. The program's server design prevents users from manipulating the game for unfair advantage. The client also provides a single-player mode, which allows users to brew while offline. This project uses C++ and the Qt5 libraries.
[22]-Moodle	Moodle https://moodle.org is a learning platform designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalised learning environments.
[23]-Verto	Verto is a multi-currency wallet that will allow access to the Vdex. Private keys are maintained in this wallet and are accessible only by its owner. Verto will also have integrative functionality of other DApps like orderbook settlement from VDEX and a crypto ratings and rankings dashboard from Vespucci.
[23]-SteemStem	SteemStem is a community on the Steem blockchain focused on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) topics.
